Weekly Blog

This week was centered around the social studies culture unit, we got to make another poster, this time about religions, which I found to be more interesting than I initially thought. Me and Emma to research Buddhism, and i'm glad that we did because I learned alot of new and interesting facts, such as that buddha is not a god, and many other things.
On friday we watched a chinese movie about a boy with outstanding skills at the violion and his struggles to fulfill his wish of playing in a concert. I thought that the video explained many things about chinese culture and, the movie portrayed how chinese people live perfectly, such as that the regular person does not own a bath tub, or toilet and instead usually has to use a bowl to remove waste and to wash your hair. Chinese people also operate differently within humanity, it appears that in the movie manners about personal space are largely absent as the child would stare at other people. It is also accepted to explore and enter some houses.
